Like the Sun and the Moon

Sole e Luna

We travel on our own paths, which run on different trails,

when one is in the East, the other’s in the West,

we switch then, again and again, constantly running one after the other.

Destiny has set unfair rules over us, but these very laws can

At times be bent, or better broken, and paths may cross, though for a precious while.

Sitting alone in the middle of another nowhere,

I am waiting for the time of the eclipse when,

the world clad in discrete darkness, we may be together again,

joined in an embrace which no one else knows, yet leaves everybody speechless.
